After starting his career as an on-air DJ and concert promoter, Brian relocated to Los Angeles and began as a Sr. Marketing Director for General Growth properties in Burbank, CA where he oversaw in-center marketing and filming efforts.
In 2006, Gartland began as the Director of Retail Marketing for Skechers, USA, where he oversaw the marketing efforts for over 250 Skechers retail stores in the US, Canada, Europe, and six other countries.
Beginning in February of 2008, Brian started a position with Sony Pictures where he oversaw the retail marketing efforts for the Home Entertainment Division of the United States retail outlets.
In March 2011, Brian was recruited to 20th Century Fox where he led the retail marketing efforts for Walmart and Target accounts. In 2014, Brian moved into the global partnerships Home Entertainment team where he did a global partnership for franchises such as the X-Men, Deadpool, Planet of the Apes, and several animated features. In 2019, Brian won the global award for Best Partnership of the year for his collaboration with Home Alone and Google. In 2020, Brian moved to the United Entertainment Group to help oversee film and TV partnerships.
